The whole process in software
I've been building software for over twenty years, for companies that actually want their work fully digital. Not just a site or a standalone tool, but platforms that handle the whole journey from start to finish.
That showed up in Low Vision Totaal, in a swim school platform, and in NRW-Wonen: home seeker, viewing, contract, rental and management, all in one chain. That last one is still running. Alongside that, e-commerce, PIM, WordPress, and the servers underneath it all.
I spent most of those twenty years as an independent contractor. Since early 2025 I've been working as an employee as Lead Architect at Guidance. I help two development teams move forward, and along the way I'm figuring out how AI actually becomes useful in the work, not just a trick.
Outside work I'm curious about pretty much everything. Cooking, quantum mechanics, philosophy, history, psychology, math, chemistry, biology, people — it all connects, and I can't help digging into it. When I water my plants, I'm already thinking about how a sensor and a Raspberry Pi could tell me what they actually need. I like making things, music software is one of them. I ferment what comes out of my own garden. Whatever isn't necessary, I leave out. Same goes for software.

As an independent architect and developer I build platforms that cover a full business process. NRW-Wonen runs from house seeker through viewing and contract to rental and management, and is still maintained. Similar work went into Low Vision Totaal and a swimming-school platform: the whole process in the software, not just the front end. Alongside that, WordPress sites for Unie van Waterschappen (hundreds of thousands of visitors a year) and own hosting.

I build applications that take a company process from first contact through to the back office. NRW-Wonen covers house seeker, viewing, contract, rental and management. Same idea for Low Vision Totaal and a swimming-school platform: the whole workflow in one system, still maintained where it matters.
Systems & architecture
PIM, e-commerce, WordPress estates and the servers underneath. Boundaries that stay clear, choices you can live with years later.
AI & tooling
Pipelines, RAG-style setups and developer tools people actually use. Automation that cuts work, not ceremony.
Team leadership
I mentor seniors and juniors, shape onboarding, and keep the technical line honest for the business side too.
